College appoints new employees | Daily Sentinel

HERKIMER — Three new staff members have been appointed to Herkimer County Community College, according to an announcement from college officials.

They understand:

• Skylar Kaelin of Stittville, who has been named athletic trainer for the Herkimer Generals athletic program. Kaelin brings her experience from the Upstate Bone and Joint Center, where she administered acute emergency football care and rehabilitation services to injured athletes for Syracuse College Football.

Kaelin holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the State University of New York at Cortland and a basic certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation/AED from the American Heart Association.

• Kathleen Netti of Herkimer has been appointed Accessibility Services Coordinator. Netti has worked at Herkimer College since 1993 in a variety of roles, including Technical Assistant for the Academic Support Center.

In this role, Netti assumed the responsibilities of supporting students with disabilities by maintaining records and documentation relevant to each case, researching case histories, and coordinating and providing all testing accommodations.

• Madeline Snyder of Whitesboro has been appointed to the part-time position of College Recovery Program Coordinator. Snyder is a chemical addiction counselor at the Crouse Addiction Treatment Center and the Beacon Center. She also served as Prevention Coordinator at Herkimer College, responsible for substance abuse prevention and awareness.

Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology from Virginia Wesleyan University, as well as a master’s degree in criminal justice with a concentration in child protection and juvenile justice from the Nova Southeastern University.
