The Office of Academic Affairs strongly encourages faculty to provide flexibility to students who request special accommodations necessitated by weather conditions. The Disability Services Office of Student Life offers support to students. In addition, paratransit services serves students, faculty and staff with permanent or temporary disabilities.

The Columbus campus is resuming regular operations. Staff members should work according to their normal schedule, in consultation with their supervisor.

The State of Ohio takes very seriously its obligation to provide the full measure of instruction to all students. Please plan ahead, allow extra time for the trip, and dress for the weather.

SAFETY TIPS

We recommend everyone continue to dress for the weather and exercise caution when traveling.

  • Wear several layers of loose, lightweight, warm clothing.
  • Wear tightly woven, water-repellent or hooded outerwear.
  • Wear a hat – 40% of your body heat can be lost through your head.
  • Wear mittens that fit snugly around the wrist; mittens are better than gloves.
  • Try to stay dry and sheltered from the wind.

When traveling around campus, remember that public transportation is available. You can find real-time information on CABS bus arrivals via the Ohio State App. Driving on COTA? Visit cota.com for service information.
