Two University of Mississippi programs that provide support for student success have scheduled events designed to increase awareness of the services they offer to help students.

An open house sponsored by Academic Support Programs, which is part of the Center for Student Achievement and Freshman Experience, and Developmental Studies, a program run by the Marshal’s Office, is scheduled to 14 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday (September 22). Participants are invited to meet staff and graduate students and tour the program’s new facilities at Johnson Commons East.

Academic Support Programs also offers a Coffee with a Coach, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on October 8 at Johnson Commons East, Room 112E. This event introduces first year students to the Success Coaching program.

“At Coffee with a Coach, Sarah Holmes, our coach, will speak on several occasions about her work with the student coaching program,” said Jeremy Roberts, Learning Specialist and Instructor for ASP. “For the open house, we will have remarks at 2:30 p.m. from Center Director Kyle Ellis, Deputy Director of Academic Support Programs Rebekah Reysen and Director of Development Studies Patricia Treloar.”
