United Way of Southern Chautauqua County has funding for its 2022-2024 funding cycle.

“We are committed to supporting programs in the areas of academic success, health and independence, a ready workforce and self-reliance that provide opportunities for our community to thrive.” said Lindsey Goold, director of community impact for United Way of Southern Chautauqua County. “If your agency or program promotes these goals, we invite you to submit an application for our 2022-2024 funding cycle. “

Eligible organizations must operate in southern Chautauqua County and be registered 501 (c) 3 with the IRS.

Interested parties can find a copy of the Request for Proposal at www.uwayscc.org/request-proposal-2022-2024. The document describes the money request process, including required documents, request questions, scoring criteria, and United Way’s funding goal.

Applications will only be accepted through Chautauqua Grants (chautauquagrants.org) until January 28. Funding will be for two years starting July 1. The second year will not require a new application and will be subject to available funds. Goold recommends contacting United Way staff with any questions about applying for or using the Chautauqua Grants, especially agencies that have never applied for funding from United Way.

“We would like to have a conversation with organizations that are considering applying”, said Goold. “Our goal is to make sure the programs have a solid application. “

Each year, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County’s goal is to raise $ 1.3 million during its annual campaign season. All the money raised stays in Chautauqua County and is allocated to local programs.

Over 60 community volunteers review funding applications and conduct site visits. and make recommendations on how the money is invested.
