Henri hsiao joins Teachers1on1 â„¢ as CEO after three years as Global Head of Education for Adobe, where he led the company’s over $ 1.5 billion business with over 30 million users , consistently delivering record growth and innovative strategic initiatives for their next generation of users. Prior to Adobe, Hsiao served as Global Vice President of Strategic Development and Growth at Mattel, responsible for global strategy, business development, and corporate management and corporate investments. In his role, Hsiao has largely focused on digitally driven growth initiatives that have positively impacted children’s development and education through play. As CEO of the company, Hsiao will assume responsibility for day-to-day leadership of the business and will lead the vision, strategy and growth of the business.

Prior to joining the team, Chris was CEO and Managing Partner of international education consulting firm Chartwell Hamilton. He was also Vice President of Strategic Affairs at Renaissance Learning and at Pearson, the world’s largest global education company. Prior to entering the private sector, Chris led research, strategy and policy development for large NGOs, legislatures, state education agencies and ministries of education in international scale.

Avi vaknin will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer, where he will play a critical role in the development, launch and scale-up of the Teachers1on1 â„¢ platform. Avi brings a solid background in building and growing cutting edge businesses from scratch, founding companies such as Telx Computers, Telx Web and HomeEscape.

Kelsey Malmberg will serve as Director of Marketing and lead branding, marketing and communications strategies as Teachers1on1 â„¢ prepares to transform the online learning experience for students around the world. She brings nearly a decade of experience leading marketing efforts for renowned brands such as Microsoft, Verizon, Coca-Cola, Nationwide, NFL, NBA and the PGA, among the notables.

  • Catherine Merseth, Member of the Advisory Board, previously Executive Director of the Harvard Teacher Education Program and received the Phi Beta Kappa Award for Teaching by Harvard in 2018 and named one of 15 outstanding professors across Harvard University in 2017; and
  • Denise Juneau, member of the advisory board, the first Indigenous woman elected to a state-wide executive position in United States as state superintendent for public education in Montana and first aboriginal superintendent in Seattle.
