“During my 25 years at Madison College, I have had the honor of working with many exceptional students, students who have shaped the ideals of WTCS with integrity, work ethic and great success,†said the provost of Madison College, Turina Bakken, who appointed Ousmane. for the price. “Yet there is one who simply rises above everything, in character, in professional and educational success, in service to our communities and quite literally in changing our world.”
This latest award is just the tip of the iceberg for Ousmane, who has fulfilled his dream of coming to the United States from his small home country in West Africa to learn English and improve his life. Now her mission is to help others achieve their dreams.
After earning a master’s degree in accounting from UW-Madison and starting a successful career in finance, Ousmane developed the blueprint for his nonprofit organization. Change management. Ousmane has already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support his organization, where he is a founder and CEO.
He currently plans to bring up to 24 chief change researchers to Wisconsin, where some will begin their studies at Madison College. In addition, his organization has opened an educational center in his home country, Africa, to support aspiring students.
Ousmane’s mission is to transform more than 1,000 young Africans into leaders – and leaders into agents of change – by 2030.
