The school was opened after the transgender community in Vaisai said they had very little access to education and very few were willing to teach them.

The founder and president of the NGO, Rekha Tripathi, said she firmly believes that everyone should have equal access to education, regardless of their gender.

About 25 adults and a few children have been admitted to the school so far.

“A few years ago, a transgender person explained to me that many people in this community had problems finding employment because they did not even have access to basic education. Social stigma associated with poor economic conditions. have contributed to this problem, ”Tripathi said. told ANI on Monday.

She added: “Regardless of their gender, everyone should have equal access to education and opportunities. About 25 adults and a few children have been admitted to school so far.”
