Continuing to mentor REI physicians as well as students at all stages of education, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition, she has medical privileges at many different hospitals including Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Downers Grove Outpatient Surgery Center, Lake Hospital Forest, Northwestern Community Hospital, Northwestern Community Day Surgery, Northwest Surgicare, River North Same Day Surgery Network, St. Alexius Medical Center, and Covenant Swedish Hospital.

Regarding his training, Dr. Beltsos completed his medical studies at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1991. Shen then did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center in 1995, followed by a scholarship. in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1997.

A member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the physician is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). ABOG’s mission is to set standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate lifelong learning to advance knowledge, practice and professionalism in women’s health.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine to address hormonal function as it relates to reproduction, as well as the question of infertility. While most REI specialists focus primarily on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are also trained to assess and treat hormonal dysfunctions in women and men outside after the reproductive years.

Receiving numerous awards, Dr Beltsos has been named “Best Doctor” by Castle Connolly (2001, 2002, 2003, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2019). She also received the Patient’s Choice Award from Chicago Magazine in 2008 and 2009, Excellence in Teaching Award from Lutheran General Hospital in 2008, Teaching Award from the University of Washington in 1997, Resident of the Year at Loyola University in 1994 and resident teacher of the Year in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994.
