New Delhi: The Institution Innovation Council of Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (IIC-PIET) was awarded a 4-star rating for its excellent performance in innovation activities in 2020-2021. The rating was awarded by the institution’s Innovation Council, the Innovation Unit of the Ministry of Education (Government of India) and the Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It is the only college in Haryana to achieve a 4-star rating, in addition to being one of 21 institutes in North West India and one of 339 IIC establishments out of 5,000 establishments. and Indian universities.

Institutions with 4 stars are considered to be the most successful institutions that have streamlined innovation and entrepreneurship campus ecosystems and put in place mechanisms to promote and support innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members. professor. Speaking on obtaining a 4 star rating from the IIC, Innovation Cell and AICTE of MoE, Rakesh Tayal, Vice President of Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology, said: “For the 2020-21 calendar year of the IIC, given the impact of the national foreclosure on all institutes of higher education (HEIs), all stakeholders of the institute are overwhelmed by the success of the IIC of PIET.This achievement was the result of hard work and commitment of all our students and faculty members who despite all the difficulties and challenges did not stray from excellence. The annual performance score of all institutes and universities is reported annually by the Institution Innovation Council, Ministry of Education, Government of India on the basis of their CII performance.

The Innovation Council of the establishment of the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Panipat was formed in 2018/19 in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the innovation unit of the MHRD, in order to systematically promote the culture of innovation in the institute. CIIs are responsible for conducting activities according to the schedule of activities provided by the MHRD Innovation Unit.
