MBBS in Hindi of current session, says Minister of Medical Education

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to start medical education in Hindi, Medical Education Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang has said.

The pilot of MBBS course in Hindi will start at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, he added.

Sarang was speaking during the inspection at the Lal Parade Ground on Sunday and gave the necessary instructions to the officials concerned. Home Minister Amit Shah will launch Hindi medical studies by releasing the first year MBBS books in Hindi at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on October 16. Great preparations are underway for the event.

The Minister further said that Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry will be taught in Hindi in the first year of MBBS, starting from the current session itself in all 13 government medical colleges in the state . It will be implemented in Year 2 MBBS from the next session, he added.

Sarang clarified that in addition to English, Hindi books will also be available.

The Hindi curriculum was prepared by a cell called “Mandar”. The task force for this includes experts from the medical field, Sarang said.

Exhibition based on innovations in medical education on October 15: Madhya Pradesh Department of Medical Education will also organize an exhibition based on innovations in MBBS medical education in Hindi, knowledge sharing mission, medical student insurance scheme, inclusion of value based medical education in MBBS Basic Course, Health Services Facility, Medical Incubation Center at Lal Parade Ground on 15th October
