A multidisciplinary international seminar on “Emerging Education Challenges and Concerns” was organized under the leadership of Surinder Singh Bhullewal Rathan at SBHSM Khalsa College of Education, Mahilpur, recently online and offline in collaboration with Global Teacher Educators Association (GTEA).

The objective of the seminar was to bring together researchers, academics and stakeholders on a common platform to exchange knowledge, experiences and research innovations for the improvement of educational enterprises in order to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the delegates. to discuss emerging challenges and concerns in education at multiple levels. with reference to the NEP and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The seminar was opened with the lighting of the lamps by the main guest, Dr Dinesh Kumar Singh, clinical psychologist, nutritionist and prosthetist orthotist, Paolo International Hospital, Bangkok. Dr Rohtash, Director of the Sant Baba Hari Singh Memorial Khalsa College of Education, welcomed the guest of honor. Dr Dinesh advised Indian students and researchers to focus as much as possible on physical, emotional and intellectual development.

They must instill creativity in themselves and must have enough courage to face the challenges of the present and the future and for this they must develop the patience and quality of entrepreneurship in themselves. GETA representative Dr Umender Malik focused on the quality of teacher training. The representative of NCTE, Dr Surender Kumar Sharma, discussed the problems of teacher training programs in India. Sandeep From CIE and Ajit Kumar from CIE, New Delhi, Ajit Kumar Bohet from JMI, Delhi, Professor JD Malik elaborated on the issues and challenges of NEP 2020 of Covid 19.

During the technical sessions, various Indian and foreign resource persons presented the global vision of the challenges of online education and the impact of Covid-19 on educational entrepreneurship and how stakeholders affect the scenario emerging. In online mode, Dr Jatinder Grover, Prof. Emam A. Alam-, Egypt, Prof. T. Thanraj-Srilanka, Terasa-USA and Prof. BP Phardwaj NCERT, New Delhi India said the massive closures of institutes education have created a challenge to the world especially in education and forced for a safeguard system of educational entrepreneur but here again an economic challenge which allows it.

According to UNESCO, more than 320 million students in Indian schools and colleges are currently affected. The new education policy establishes the determination to revitalize the entire education system in India. In the farewell session, Dr Jaspal Singh, Principal of SGGS Khalsa College, Mahilpur, concluded the seminar and reflected the main points of the seminar theme.
