We are a newly integrated organization, and the Learning and Development Specialist and the extended team are an integral part of all our changes, to support the whole organization through change and into our new future.
Our Learning Specialist
As the learning specialist for all of Cambridge, you will truly be our source of knowledge and our guide throughout the process. You will continue to drive the development of our new career learning and development programs forward, aligning with the development of an Academies/Centres of Excellence model for capacity development. As you will be responsible for the expenditure of our apprenticeship levy, you will have confidence in the evolution of the government’s apprenticeship program, as well as in its compliance. Joining us with a wealth of knowledge and learning experience is imperative for this role, as we will be guided by you on many occasions.
Apprenticeships are relatively new at Cambridge, and we still have a long way to go before it becomes a fully developed programme. You will have the opportunity to get involved and lead project management and product development, and the chance to really shape what the learnings will become. Comfortable turning multiple plates, you will bring experience to implement new processes and ideas.
You will deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work with a range of departments that are all involved in learnings, from talent acquisition to HR operations and reward. As you will create and own the stakeholder communication strategy, excellent communication skills will allow you to coordinate these relationships successfully, as well as ensure that everyone involved is fully informed to carry out our programs.
You will empower our managers and apprentices to advance their careers and support new career apprentices. Training learners to believe in their ability to acquire new skills and grow will be at the heart of what you do, as will helping managers develop their apprentices. Coaching experience is a plus for this, but certainly not essential.
