Hennessy collaborates with Osaseven to revitalize the Festac basketball court

In the painting is part of a global series of artistic collaborations rooted in the role basketball plays in the community, with the first initiative launching in Montreal, Canada in 2021,” says Oluwole Awoleke, Chief Marketing Officer at Nigeria. “We are delighted to reveal the results of this synergy with Osa Seven – for Hennessy it has always been about going beyond the lines. Hennessy is more than a cognac and this project is a testament to the fact that Hennessy continues to be the brand that enables true community spirit across the In the painting initiative”.

Blending urban culture and cognac, the design of the pitch draws inspiration from Nigeria’s diverse cultures, while celebrating heritage, endless creativity and innovation.

On the ground, OsaSeven, displays the iconic Armed Arm symbol which is synonymous with Hennessy placed in the middle of the design, an elaborate display of the Benin Ivory mask which is used as the official FESTAC logo and heritage symbol. The choice of curved patterns and colors depict clouds laden with pre-dawn rain, again emphasizing the resilient attitude of Nigerians that fits perfectly into Hennessy’s DNA.

According to OsaSeven, “This work of art composed of bold curved patterns, colors and the bronze head of the Queen of Benin represents the point where yesterday and tomorrow meet…today”

Park 23 court will open to the public on May 18, 2022. To learn more about the initiative, visit Hennessy.com or @HennessyNigeria on Facebook.
