Prior to joining BYJU’s FutureSchool, Shariff was Head of Flagship Markets for OYO, the world’s fastest growing hospitality company. There he led the company’s growth in urban markets after a successful rapid expansion in the western United States. Prior to OYO, he was a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group and Director and Chief of Staff at Sears. He is an engineer from IIT Bombay and a graduate of Stanford University.
  • Aaron Kornblum will be BYJU’S FutureSchool’s first global general counsel, responsible for leading the company’s legal, regulatory and compliance matters. Kornblum brings more than two decades of legal experience in consumer online services at companies such as Microsoft, Improbable and Bungie. During 14 years at Microsoft, Kornblum held senior legal and technical roles, and was appointed to Puget Sound Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” list for its commercial and civic leadership. Kornblum began his legal career in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General (“JAG”) corps, serving as a military lawyer in the United States, Europe and Southwest Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Juris Doctor from Univ. from Wisconsin Law School.
  • JP Schuerman will lead BYJU’s global expansion communication efforts with a mission to establish the company as a well-known international brand. As a seasoned communications practitioner with over 20 years of experience, Schuerman brings a vast amount of knowledge as well as experience both in agency and in-house. Most recently, Schuerman served as Global Communications Manager for Riot Games, where he managed the rebranding of Riot Games and the subsequent launch of several new game titles and a TV show in over 50 countries. .
