Wittenberg will begin welcoming members of the incoming class of 2026 at multiple Destination Wittenberg: New Student Orientation sessions beginning in mid-June.

Destination Wittenberg is a mandatory new student orientation program designed to help first-year and transfer students begin to acclimatize to life as a University of Wittenberg scholar. Full-day programs begin with a taping from 8:15-9 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. each day. The sessions will take place on Thursday, June 16; Friday, June 17; Saturday June 18; Monday, June 20; and Tuesday, June 21.

“The program helps students connect with their peers and learn valuable insights into academics and student life at Wittenberg,” said Grace Sever, Senior Director of Academic Services and Student Success at COMPASS: Sweet Success Center. “Students and families will also attend sessions with Wittenberg faculty and staff to learn about campus resources.”

At the end of each Orientation Day, students and families can then attend an Engagement Fair from 3-4:30 p.m. to celebrate the day, connect with many departments and offices on campus, learn more about what Wittenberg has to offer and obtain all answers to all outstanding questions.

“We are excited to welcome our new class and show our new students the great things Wittenberg has to offer,” Sever said.

In addition to introducing students to all of Wittenberg’s services that will support their educational and personal goals, as well as helping them navigate the University’s academic advising system and connect with academic advisors, the orientation will include opportunities for incoming students to complete any remaining paperwork, upload their Wittenberg ID, learn about student policies, processes and services, understand their schedules, and review class expectations.

Fall 2022 first-year and transfer students can register for an orientation session here. Please Note: Registration for Destination Wittenberg: New Student Orientation covers the Fellow and up to three guests. A $20 fee will be added to your student account for each additional guest.
