- What qualifies you for this position? As a 3rd generation passionate Zephyr, I have a unique connection to the community, which allows me to be a strong and accessible voice for the community. Additionally, I will hold my fellow board members accountable for being accessible and transparent, for working on behalf of the wishes of our parents and the community.
- What would be your top priorities if elected? 1. Academic Achievement and Accountability – A data-driven concentration on programs and strategies that restore Mahtomedi as the benchmark for educational excellence. 2. Back to Basics – STEM, Language Arts and Humanities focused on post-secondary preparation. 3. Connection – A focus on the elements that unite us: Community, Empathy, Benevolence
- What do you see as the primary role of government? The role of the school board is: #1. Define the district’s strategy and mission by representing the wishes of parents and our community. #2. Support, hire and hold accountable directors who will execute this strategy and mission. #3. Financial stewardship – a commitment to making ethical and prudent financial decisions
